The desert teaches you to look for beauty in unexpected places.

A cactus wren singing from a saguaro arm at 6am. The way monsoon light turns the Santa Catalinas copper and violet. The smell of creosote after the first summer rain. If you’ve ever stood in the Sonoran Desert and felt it settle something inside you — you know exactly why I live here, and why this place shows up in everything I make.

I’m Jennifer. I’m a maker, a wanderer, a food-and-wine enthusiast, and a Kansas to Arizona transplant who genuinely believes that choosing happy is both a philosophy and a practice.

The Studio

JenniferInk exists in a small artsy room, where sunlight, cactus shadows and road maps share the same table as paint, paper, and pieces of raw wood . . .

That room is where the memories come to life.

I make small-batch earrings, bracelets, little clocks, and other pieces for your walls and shelves — using raw thin plywood, acrylic, metals, and whatever found objects catch my eye and won’t let go. Some things are shaped by hand. Some are cut by laser. All of it starts with something I love.

I make things that make me happy from found objects.

Every collection is rooted in a memory, an experience, a place I’ve been or a moment I didn’t want to forget. Yes, Tucson is woven through everything — you can’t live somewhere for nearly two decades without it finding its way into your hands. But so is the road. The places I’ve landed, the things I’ve seen, a meal I ate somewhere unexpected, the light in an unfamiliar town at golden hour. My craft is shaped by where I’ve been and where I choose to stay.

You’ll find those collections in my Etsy shop — the Saguaro + Sunbeam collection, the Retro Rhythm series, the Naomi floral designs, and more. Small batches, real materials, made by hand in Arizona.

The Wanderings

But making jewelry is only part of the story.

The rest of it happens on drives, at a dinner table, on a trail, and behind a camera. I travel as often as I can — road trips through the Southwest, adventures further afield, always with a camera and a curiosity about the next great meal, the next perfect light, the next place that makes me stop and think oh, this is the good stuff.

Saguaros and Sunbeams is where all of it comes together. The Wanderings here cover everything from Tucson restaurant finds and Arizona wine country to travel photo journals of scenic drives and hiking trails. My Tucson life in full color — and all of it feeds back into the studio, into the designs, into the pieces I make.

The Invitation

What I’ve learned from the desert — from over a decade of making, wandering, eating well, and paying attention — is that happiness isn’t a destination. It’s a series of small, deliberate choices. A good earring. A great wine. A road you haven’t driven yet.

This is my happy. Come wander with me and find yours . . .
